Managed services software maker Autotask Corp. has shipped an updated edition of its RMM solution that integrates more closely with its professional services automation platform.

The 2017-1 release of the East Greenbush, N.Y.-based company’s Autotask Endpoint Management system, which officially became available yesterday, lets technicians view detailed information about completed remote control sessions in Autotask PSA.

Other new features include access to real-time status information on the system’s monitoring capabilities that allows users to see the software is functioning properly without waiting for confirmation via an alert, a new network discovery function that provides a graphical view of both managed and unmanaged devices, and new tools for applying monitoring policies to those devices.

“Based on customer feedback, we have revamped our network management capabilities to give service providers a more streamlined approach for managing both devices and networks for clients,” said Ian Van Reenen, vice president of engineering for endpoint products at Autotask, in prepared remarks. “They will also save time with easy discovery and audit for network devices, increase network visibility to better understand what they are managing and improve efficiency and deliver better service delivery with the remote control capability.”

Both Autotask Endpoint Management and Autotask PSA are part of the “unification platform” Autotask has been building since its acquisitions of RMM vendor CentraStage in 2014 and file sync and share vendor Soonr the following year. The company added a BDR solution to that platform last September.
