Company achieves high marks for greenhouse gas reduction activities throughout its value chain
Kyocera Corporation (President: Hideo Tanimoto) today announced that it has been recognized as a “Supplier Engagement Leader” by international non-profit CDP for the second consecutive year, on the basis of Kyoceraa’s initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout its value chain.
Based on CDPa’s fifth annual survey of suppliers, the 2020 “Supplier Engagement Leaderboard” lists companies recognized for outstanding environmental records and targets. The Kyocera Group has set a medium and long term environmental target*1 of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. CDP praised Kyoceraa’s comprehensive approach to reducing greenhouse gas emission and named Kyocera as a leading company on the list. This year, CDP recognized approximately 400 companies, representing just 7% of the total candidates. The 2020 list includes approximately 80 Japanese companies.
The Kyocera Group will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable, decarbonized society by pursuing new greenhouse gas reduction approaches beyond conventional frameworks.
