Brother Industries, Ltd. makes an additional donation of 35 million JPY for Ukraine crisis and Turkey-Syria earthquake relief

Japan – March 29, 2023 – Brother Industries, Ltd. (President: Ichiro Sasaki) announced today that it will donate an additional 35 million JPY (approximately $264,000 USD) to United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) via Japan to support humanitarian aid for the ongoing Ukraine crisis and for the victims affected by the Turkey-Syria earthquake.

In March 2022, Brother donated 500,000 EUR (over $540,000 USD) as Brother Group to UNHCR via Japan to support humanitarian aid in Ukraine. In February 2023, Brother donated $50,000 USD to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) to support the victims of the Turkey-Syria earthquake, as well as to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Turkey through the Group’s local branch.

The decision to make this additional donation was made in response to the prolonged crisis in Ukraine and the large number of victims and extensive damage caused by the Turkey-Syria earthquake.

Brother upholds its “at your side” promise to our communities through a Corporate Social Responsibility program that responds to natural disasters and partners with environmental and medical causes throughout the United States and greater communities globally.
