Epson Document Scanner Takes Home “Best of the Best” Award

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. – July 10, 2024 – Epson today announced multiple products received Red Dot Design Awards, including a coveted “Best of the Best” award, the highest distinction in the Red Dot: Product Design 2024 awards. Epson received Red Dot product design awards for four document scanners, three business inkjet printers, one direct-to-garment professional printer, and one professional color management tool.

Best of the Best Winners: DS-C490, DS-C480W, DS-C330 Document Scanners

The recognition of the DS-C490, DS-C480W, DS-C330 compact desktop document scanners marks the fifth time Epson has received a Best of the Best Red Dot award. Featuring a vertical paper feed system, these small and lightweight scanners save up to 60 percent of desk space,1 enabling businesses from a wide range of industries to stay productive and keep workflow moving even when space is limited.

Red Dot Award: Product Design Winners

The following products received 2024 Red Dot Design Awards:

  • WorkForce® Enterprise AM-C4000, AM-C5000 and AM-C6000 color multifunction printers: With these color multifunction printers, less is more. Engineered for reliable performance, the AM Series provides large workgroups and departments minimized machine downtime, low waste to end up in landfills and low energy consumption in a space-saving form factor.
  • SureColor® F2270 DTG printer: Purpose-built for both direct-to-garment (DTG) and direct-to-film (DTFilm) printing, this hybrid printer combines outstanding image quality, easy operation and great value. The hybrid printer was designed to produce high quality output with great reliability and consistency. An intuitive design of the printer offers a flattop work surface to help with printing workflow, allowing for easier operation and increased productivity.
  • Auto Chart Reader Accessory: The portable automated table accessory extends color management capabilities of the Epson SD-10 Spectrophotometer for Epson Edge® Print customers. The Auto Chart Reader allows users to measure color charts to create color profiles, as well as verify and calibrate color, helping print shops save time and resources by avoiding reprints due to color inaccuracies.
