Not only is it still the biggest malware threat faced by SMBs, according to Datto’s ‘Global State of the Channel Ransomware Report,’ but the average cost of ransomware-related downtime has drastically increased in 2020. Ransomware attacks have increased this year due to so many professionals working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has accelerated the need for stronger cyber security measures.
