Keypoint Intelligence, the world’s leading independent evaluator of document imaging hardware, software, and services, today announced the recipients of its Buyers Lab (BLI) PaceSetter Awards in Hybrid Workplace. Based on research conducted in the North American market, these accolades recognize document imaging OEMs that have the most forward-looking products, services, and initiatives when it comes to helping customers with their in-office, at-home, and hybrid workforce needs.

The winners for 2021-2022 are:

KONICA MINOLTA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS U.S.A., INC.
BLI 2021-2022 PaceSetter in Hybrid Workplace

XEROX CORPORATION
BLI 2021-2022 PaceSetter in Hybrid Workplace

COVID-19 has upended many facets of our lives, including the way we work. Today, people are more likely to be working from home or splitting their time between home and the office. In fact, a recent survey conducted by Keypoint Intelligence revealed that only about 65% of workers think they will be returning exclusively to in-office work after the danger from the pandemic has passed. Document technology vendors have adapted to this new reality with solutions that enable a hybrid approach to working in both environments. To determine which companies lead the market, Keypoint Intelligence conducted an in-depth evaluation of hybrid workplace-related offerings of most of the major document imaging OEMs. The study drilled into over 40 points of differentiation spread across key categories: company vision, document hardware and apps, document software and services, smart workplace offerings, and more.

KONICA MINOLTA ENABLES A SAFER RETURN TO WORK
In the study, Konica Minolta stood out for its quick pivot to solutions addressing new customer needs as a result of the pandemic, including technology and services for employees working from home and those returning to the office. The company’s unique Return to Work program delivers a system that encompasses self-reporting, on-site temperature checks, and employee tracking to help protect the office-based workforce. Konica Minolta’s Remote Work package, delivered through its All Covered IT services arm, combines things like laptops, wireless headsets, printers, and a service desk to allow secure access to business content, while the Home Assurance package adds another level of security and capabilities through fully managed VPN connectivity and multi-layered security best practices.

XEROX STRENGTHENS ITS PORTFOLIO TO SUPPORT AN EVOLVING WORKPLACE
Digitization and automation are key drivers of Xerox’s business, aligning well with hybrid work requirements. Through DocuShare Go, home workers have 24/7 access to documents through any computing device, along with real-time document collaboration. Xerox Workplace Cloud’s ability to track and manage home printing further supports remote working, while Xerox Versant devices provide home-based employees with access to productivity-enhancing ConnectKey apps that office-based workers enjoy. Thanks to Xerox’s Digital Mailroom Service, home-based workers can still receive business mail (in electronic format) without having to trek to the office. And the unique Xerox Team Availability App lets employees report where they will physically be working—home or office—and alerts them if the office is at capacity on a given day.

“If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that reliance on office-centric solutions and paper-based processes can be an organization’s Achilles heel,” said Jamie Bsales, Director of Smart Workplace & Security Analysis at Keypoint Intelligence. “Through this study, Konica Minolta and Xerox have demonstrated their ability to accommodate a combination of on-site, remote, and hybrid workers and provide a secure, collaborative, and seamless work experience wherever people are located.”
